Privacy policy
Effective 19 October 2026
This policy explains how Aussie Gamefront handles information connected with our Australian gaming guides, editorial enquiries and browser preferences. It covers this website, aussiegamefront.com, and correspondence we actually receive. It also explains your choices and how to raise a privacy concern.
1. Who is responsible
Aussie Gamefront is the editorial operator responsible for this website. We publish information to help readers explore gaming platforms and consider their features. For privacy questions, contact our editorial support team using the details below. Please identify your request as a privacy matter so we can direct it appropriately.
Aussie GamefrontLevel 11, 25 Martin Place
Sydney NSW 2000, Australia
Email: [email protected]
Phone: +61 2 8046 7315
Our support hours are Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00 Sydney time, excluding NSW public holidays. Email is the preferred channel for a written privacy request. Include enough context to identify the relevant correspondence, without sending identity documents or unnecessary sensitive information.
2. Information involved
The enquiry form asks for your name, email address and message. You choose what to include in the message. We do not ask for a gaming account password, payment card details or identity documents. Avoid including information about another person unless it is necessary and you have permission to share it.
When your browser requests a page, technical information such as an IP address, requested address and browser information is involved in delivering that request. This description does not mean that we maintain a retained browsing history or use an analytics service. Our preference controls use the first-party storage described here.
| Category | Examples | Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Enquiries | Name, email and message entered in the form | Aussie Gamefront | Provide an enquiry interface and submission feedback |
| Requests | IP address, page address and browser information | This site | Deliver the requested page |
| Preference | Local storage key aussiegamefront_ | aussiegamefront.com | Remember acceptance or rejection in this browser |
| Cookie | site_cookie_ | aussiegamefront.com | Remember consent for up to 365 days |
The preference entries record your choice rather than a profile of your gaming interests. Browser storage is specific to the browser or device used; changing a preference on one device does not automatically change it elsewhere.
3. Why information is used
We use correspondence we receive to understand and answer editorial questions, investigate corrections and respond to accessibility feedback. A relevant excerpt may help our editors check an article, but personal contact details are not needed in a published correction. We aim to keep the information used proportionate to the issue raised.
Preference storage lets the site remember your decision across reloads and local navigation, avoiding repeated prompts. Form submission feedback confirms the interface response; it does not establish that a message was delivered, stored or read. For a matter requiring a reply, use the email address above and retain your own copy.
4. Choice and consent
We handle personal information in accordance with Australian privacy requirements that apply to our activities, including applicable requirements under the Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles. Which legal requirements apply depends on the activity and circumstances. This policy does not limit any rights you have under Australian law.
You may browse the editorial content without sending an enquiry. If you contact us, provide only information relevant to your request. We use that information for the purpose you would reasonably expect from the conversation, or another purpose permitted or required by law.
No optional tracking is planned. Optional browser technologies require your consent, and Reject optional remains available alongside Accept. Use Cookie settings in the footer to revisit the controls and withdraw optional consent. Remembering the decision itself is necessary preference storage. Clearing browser storage also removes the saved choice and may cause the prompt to appear again.
6. Retention and deletion
For enquiries actually received by email, our routine policy is to remove correspondence 12 months after the matter closes. A continuing dispute, unresolved complaint or legal obligation may justify keeping relevant records longer. When that reason ends, we review the records for deletion rather than keeping them indefinitely.
The local storage preference has no automatic expiry and remains until changed, cleared by you or removed by site code. The consent cookie has a lifetime of 31,536,000 seconds, equivalent to 365 days; making a new choice may refresh it. Your browser can remove either entry sooner. These periods do not imply that the site form archives messages or that technical request information is retained as a separate log.
7. Keeping information safe
We take proportionate care with correspondence, including limiting access to people who need it for enquiries and corrections. We aim to avoid unnecessary copies and to remove records according to the retention policy. No website, device or communication method can provide an absolute guarantee against loss or unauthorised access.
Please omit banking information, passwords, identity documents and unrelated third-party personal information. If a screenshot is useful for an accessibility report, remove account details before emailing it. If you believe you sent sensitive information accidentally, contact us promptly, identifying the message and requesting removal.
8. Access, correction and concerns
Email [email protected] to ask for access to, correction of or deletion of correspondence we actually hold. State the email address used, approximate date and what you want us to do. We may ask for limited additional information to verify that the request concerns you, particularly before disclosing correspondence.
We aim to acknowledge a privacy request within five business days and address it within 30 days. If the matter needs longer, we aim to explain why and provide an expected response date. Access or deletion may be subject to lawful exceptions, including another person's privacy or required record retention; we will explain any applicable limitation.
If you are dissatisfied, ask for a review of our response and explain the outcome you seek. You may also raise a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, where applicable. Our internal process does not prevent you from exercising statutory rights or seeking independent advice.
9. Younger readers
Aussie Gamefront is an editorial guide and does not provide reader accounts. Parents and carers should check each game's official age rating, spending controls and privacy settings before a child uses it. An editorial mention does not establish that a game is appropriate for a particular child.
Children should seek a parent or carer's help before sending personal information. If you believe a child has sent us correspondence that should be removed, email our privacy contact with enough detail to locate it. We will consider the request carefully and avoid asking for unnecessary information about the child.
10. Policy updates
This policy takes effect on 19 October 2026. We review it when our actual information handling, browser technologies or relevant legal requirements change. We will publish a revised effective date and clearly describe material changes on this page. Check the date when returning with a new privacy question, and contact us if you need help understanding a revision.
